About the Help

At any time you require help you can click Help in the main menu bar or on the Help button on any of the other Goad Portal screens. The Goad Portal Help window opens displaying a context sensitive topic relevant to your current location within the Goad Portal system. This Help window comprises 3 main areas or panes:

• Navigation pane - this is displayed on the left-hand side of this window. It contains the Table of Contents (), Index () and Search () tabs that you can use to find and display a Help topic. The Search option is also available at the top-right of the oad Portal Help window. For further details, see Finding Help Topics.
• Topic pane - this is displayed on the right-hand side and contains the current Help topic. An Expand/Collapse button () on the left-hand side and halfway down the Topic pane, can be used to show and hide the Navigation pane.
• Menu bar - this is located at the top of the topic pane and can contains a Remove Highlight button and a Print button.

The Menu bar comprises a row of 2 command buttons that have the following functions:

• Remove Highlight () - can be used to remove the highlighting from any item in the current Help topic.
• Print () - prints the current Help topic to a printer of your choice. For further details, see Printing Help Topics.

If you position the mouse cursor over a command button for a few seconds, a 'tooltip' is displayed giving its function.

Each Help topic includes a Related Topics list of hyperlinks. You can click on any of these links to quickly go to the associated Help topic.
